In front of the world's slowest but nicest old notary in our town, we signed our documents then K overnighted them, along with the rest of the down payment, to our friends in Indiana who are selling us our home. WHEW! Now we wait for their lawyer and a lawyer representing us to do the actual closing. Still waiting for the insurance company to get back to us on the final premium amount for our 'builder's risk' policy.
We've also booked our moving truck, reserved our motel rooms across the country, and found an apartment to live in while we get the house habitable. We continue to purge while packing, which is so fun!!!! I can't believe how much stuff we hold onto that we never even use. Plus, now I can think about it in terms of if I would want it in the house when it is done. Does it go with the simple, country decor we are leaning towards?
I keep forgetting to share our inspirations. Here are just a few that really speak to our hearts.....
These all say cozy, casual, comfortable....which suits our personalities and lifestyle.
One last thing. I found this amazing painting at my crazy next door neighbor's (yes, I mean truly crazy) yard sale...along with the chair it is sitting on and some adorable vintage china....all for $10. Score.
I can't wait to find the perfect spot for it in our home.
